Financial Controller – 12 Months – Not for Profit – Dublin

My client, one of the largest charities in Ireland is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

About the role

As a Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in managing all aspects of our financial activities.

• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and performance tracking.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and financial risk management activities.
• Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.
• Provide strategic financial guidance and support to senior management to facilitate decision-making.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals to ensure high performance and accountability.

What you Need

• 3+ years’ experience in a financial controller position
• Fully Qualified Accountant is a must 
• Transformation experience would be a plus.
• Coming from a not-for-profit background is an advantage but not a necessity.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a focus on driving results and fostering a positive work environment.
