One of Ireland’s leading providers of renewable energy solutions are currently looking for a Safety Advisor to join their team in Waterford.
About your new job
- Collaborate with project managers and construction managers to be sure all potential risk management and safety issues are addressed.
- Create and execute workplace safety programs, emergency response plans, construction safety policies, and job-site hazard analyses.
- Implement construction health and safety training programs.
- Perform construction site risk assessments, safety audits, and safety meetings.
- Monitor adherence to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety regulations and safety standards on sites.
- Investigate job-site safety reports and lead incident and injury evaluations.
- Ensure personal protective equipment is available and used correctly.
- To manage accident and incident data and investigate circumstances and causes of accidents.
What skill/experience you need
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, EHS/HSE, or related qualification.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Firm understanding of construction safety standards and regulations, Working at height SOPs.
- Familiarity with computers and MS Office is needed.
- A full clean Irish Driver’s Licence – Willing to travel to sites in Waterford & Leinster.
- Ability to work independently and excellent project management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
