Sounds good to you? Well then, I have an exciting opportunity with one of our biggest clients in the financial sector that is looking for a passionate Principal Kubernetes SRE to work with various engineering teams to own the design of a new multi-region, highly available, cloud-based deployment of the client’s applications to AWS’s Kubernetes Platform (EKS). If you’re ambitious and driven, this role may be the perfect fit and you’ll be working with some highly talented individuals within the team! The role is hybrid in their Dublin offices, with one week per month being fully on-site.

This is a 12-month Daily Rate Contract role which unfortunately does not offer Visa-Sponsorship.

Skills:

• Experienced working with AWS in a production environment
• Comfortable with Kubernetes workloads using EKS.
• Proven ability to create and deploy Helm charts and libraries.
• AWS CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, and network security experience
• Comfortable with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Cloudwatch etc.
• Proficient with Unix operating systems and shell scripting
• Experience in programming, particularly Python.
• Automated CI/CD pipelines expertise and experience with Jenkins Enterprise

Responsibilities:

• See problems as opportunities to automate.
• Coordinate the overall design of highly available, secure, scalable microservices-based applications in AWS.
• Be a technical leader to strong teams of Site Reliability Engineers
• Configure and deploy resilient infrastructure in multiple regions and multiple availability zones.
• Work multi-functionally with other organisations and collaborate with our risk, product, and engineering team leaders.
