Our client, is a $24+ billion global alternatives firm with a robust platform encompassing multiple segments of the public and private markets. Since their founding in 1995, they have been evolving our skill set and have been tested by many economic cycles. 

Our client is new to the Irish market, with their first offices to open on June first. 

About Your New Role: 

The Accounting Department is currently comprised of a broad range of functions, including: fund accounting; operations; position, P&L and exposure reporting; valuation; risk management design and reporting; and liquidity management.

This individual will be part of a newly formed office in Dublin to help with the day-to-day accounting and administration of the funds’ expenses and books and records, in partnership with the global Fund Accounting team.

What You Will Do: 

  • Manage the expense allocation and payment process across funds, in partnership with various global internal and external stakeholders and administrators, including managing outsourced resources
  • Review expenses and statements for accuracy and allocate across fund entities
  • Coordinate and arrange for wire setup to make expense payments, record transactions related to expense payments in the accounting system, and prepare expense accruals based on the budget and historical payments
  • Liaise with other teams to promptly address and resolve issues related to expense payments, invoice discrepancies, etc., to ensure a smooth expense process
  • Manage expense reporting process, whilst understanding regulatory requirements which may impact it  
  • Prepare quarterly expense summaries and assist in presenting the summary to senior management for purposes of monitoring fund expense ratios and identifying areas for cost-savings
  • Help prepare financial statements for numerous investment related special purpose vehicles

Who You Are: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or the equivalent is required
  • 2-5 years of experience with expense management and reconciliation
  • ACCA qualification is a plus
  • Attention to detail and ability to organize priorities
  • Strong excel and analytical skills
  • Experience with Alteryx is a plus
  • Must be a self-starter and quick learner
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
