Claims Handler

Claims are the cornerstone of the Insurance sector, and the volume of claims a company handles primarily dictates the performance, and can to a lesser extent, the number of staff an Insurance company employs. Claims Handlers can be employed directly by an Insurer or with a Broker or Third-Party Administrator.Claims Handlers will handle a claim from cradle to grave, or first notification to settlement. They will determine the validity of a claim and, depending on experience, identify any potential fraudulent activity.The salaries for a Claims Handler generally starts around the €25,000 - €28,000 point in Ireland and can increase significantly depending on their experience and area of expertise. As their career progresses in management and director level, a Claims Handler can earn above the €100,000 range.
