The Work

As a Welder, you will play a key role in keeping equipment and machinery operating safely and efficiently. Your work will directly support production reliability and on-site safety.

  • Carry out welding tasks to repair, maintain, and fabricate components for outside equipment and machinery.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and complete welding work.
  • Ensure all welding activities meet required safety, quality, and compliance standards.
  • Perform regular inspections and basic maintenance of welding equipment and tools to keep them in optimal working condition.
  • Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to complete projects efficiently and minimise down-time.
  • Consistently follow site safety protocols and procedures to help maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

The Person

The ideal candidate is an experienced welder who thrives in an industrial environment, is safety-conscious, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

  • Proven experience as a welder, ideally within heavy industrial, or a similar setting.
  • Strong proficiency in welding techniques, including oxy-acetylene and gas welding.
  • Ability to confidently read and interpret technical documents, drawings, and blueprints.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
  • Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to handle heavy lifting and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable, safety-focused, and eager to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
