About Your New Job

As the Technical Services Manager, you will:

  • Lead and manage all engineering and technical services across the hospital, including maintenance, utilities, plant, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programs, minimizing disruption to clinical services.
  • Oversee the performance of the Engineering Supervisor and Facilities Administrator, and manage all contractors to maintain compliance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and critical incidents, ensuring timely solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership during risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Support capital projects, infrastructure planning, and manage technical services budgets.

What Skills You Need

  • Significant experience in a healthcare or highly regulated engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building services (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, medical gases, water systems) and healthcare standards (e.g., JCI, HIQA, HTM).
  • Proven experience managing maintenance teams and engineering contractors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in compliance, risk management, audit readiness, and budget control.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems.
