About Your New Job

• As the Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all engineering and technical services across the hospital.
• You will ensure the delivery of all planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes, supporting patient care by minimising disruption and maintaining safety at all times.
• Oversee the Engineering Supervisor and Facilities Administrator to deliver effective technical services, while managing performance and compliance of contractors on site.
• Implement safe systems of work, lead on compliance with statutory and healthcare standards, manage technical budgets and reporting, and contribute to capital projects and infrastructure planning.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within your team and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

What Skills You Need

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in a healthcare or highly regulated engineering environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of building services (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, medical gases, water systems).
• Proven experience managing maintenance teams and contractors.
• Thorough understanding of statutory compliance, healthcare standards (JCI, HIQA, HTM), risk and safety management.
• Financial awareness with experience managing budgets.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
• Experience using CAFM or maintenance management systems.
