About Your New Job
- As the Technical Design Manager, you will lead and develop the design function across both fit-out and specialist racking divisions.
- Manage, mentor, and set priorities for a small team of design professionals, ensuring high-quality design outputs.
- Produce, review, and coordinate technical drawings, schedules, and specifications for projects including glazed partitions, folding wall systems, and racking/storage solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Estimation, Project Management, and Operations to deliver practical and commercially viable design solutions.
- Oversee compliance with building regulations, safety standards, and client specifications, and drive continuous improvement in design processes and quality assurance.
What Skills You Need
- Degree/diploma in Architectural Technology, Architectural Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical design and drawing production, ideally in commercial fit-out or specialist contracting.
- Experience managing, mentoring, or leading a design team, or strong leadership potential.
- Deep understanding of construction detailing, materials, and buildability, with a commercial mindset.
- Proficient with CAD/BIM and relevant design software.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, able to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
