About Your New Job

As a Structural Engineer, you will:

  • Deliver structural engineering design for a wide range of projects including industrial, residential, commercial, educational, healthcare, civic buildings, and data centres.
  • Support project delivery from concept through to handover, including planning, detailed design, tender, and construction phases.
  • Design in accordance with Eurocodes using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical documentation using structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, TEDDS).
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (architects, civil engineers, MEP consultants, contractors) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Participate in client, stakeholder, and design team meetings; conduct site visits, inspections, and construction monitoring.
  • Contribute to BIM/Revit model development, project documentation, and safety, quality, and sustainability reviews.

What Skills You Need

  • A degree (Level 8 or equivalent) in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a structural engineering consultancy.
  • Proven experience delivering building and structural projects across multiple design stages.
  • Understanding of Eurocodes and Irish Building Regulations.
  • Proficiency with structural software (Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, TEDDS). Knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Progress towards Chartered Engineer status is desirable but not essential.
