SMT Manufacturing Process Engineer

About Your New Job

  • Program all SMT equipment: Including Printer, Pick and Place Machine, and AOI Machine.
  • Develop and optimize profiles: Program the oven and setup PTH manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Customer Interface: Work with customers for ideal test equipment/program setup and complete NPI projects to schedule.
  • Continuous Improvement: Incorporate improvement activities based on business objectives and cost reduction goals.
  • Documentation and Training: Prepare assembly documentation, work instructions, and train operatives in assembly procedures.
  • Maintenance Support: Assist the Maintenance Team in designing planned maintenance routines and perform critical engineering maintenance tasks.
  • Process Controls: Implement controls such as FMEA and Control plans as part of the Change Management process.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.

What Skills You Need

  • Educational Background: L8 qualification in a manufacturing-related engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • Technical Experience: Experience working with engineering bills of materials and drawings, and a demonstrable working knowledge of SMT components and processes.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to undertake overtime or work on weekends according to business needs.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with build planning, stakeholder management, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and previous experience in a highly regulated environment, such as Med Device.
