Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Site (Setting-Out) Engineer to join their team on a major residential project in Louth.
About Your New Job
As a Site (Setting-Out) Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of the project, ensuring all setting-out and engineering duties are carried out accurately and efficiently. You will work closely with the Site Manager, Project Manager, and subcontractors to ensure construction works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to progress their career with a respected and growing residential developer.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out accurate setting-out of works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme requirements.
Interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure correct execution on site.
Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues as they arise.
Ensure quality control procedures are implemented and works are completed to the required standards.
Conduct site surveys, measurements, and checks to ensure accuracy throughout the construction process.
Assist with the preparation of as-built drawings and records.
Monitor progress on site and report any delays or issues to site management.
Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
What Skills You Need:
3–5+ years’ experience in a Site Engineer or Setting-Out Engineer role within residential or commercial construction.
Strong experience in setting-out using GPS, total station, and other surveying equipment.
Excellent knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and Irish building regulations.
Experience working on residential developments is highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Ability to work well as part of a site team and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Full understanding of health & safety requirements on Irish construction sites.
CSCS Card and Safe Pass required.
Relevant third-level qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred.
Experience working with Irish contractors or developers is advantageous.
Familiarity with construction software and engineering tools is beneficial.
