About Your New Company

Our client is a highly regarded Irish construction contractor with an established reputation for delivering high-quality commercial, residential, hospitality and fit-out projects across Ireland.

With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join their team on a major hotel development in Dublin City Centre.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established contractor and take a key role in the delivery of a high-profile hotel project in a prime city-centre location.

About Your New Role

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the site, working closely with the Project Manager, Senior Engineers, subcontractors, design team and client representatives.

You will play a key role in ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, to the required quality standards and within budget.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the construction site.
  • Leading and coordinating site teams, subcontractors and specialist contractors.
  • Planning and sequencing works to ensure the project programme is maintained.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to the Project Manager and senior management.
  • Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed to the required standard.
  • Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and programmes.
  • Working closely with the engineering and design teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Managing site logistics, resources, materials and manpower requirements.
  • Ensuring all works comply with health & safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the project.
  • Conducting regular site inspections and coordinating snagging and completion activities.
  • Attending site meetings with the project team, subcontractors, consultants and client.
  • Identifying potential delays or issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Maintaining accurate site records and reporting on project progress.
  • Leading and motivating the site team to achieve project objectives.

What You Need

  • Relevant construction qualification or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years' experience in construction, with significant experience as a Site Manager.
  • Proven experience working for a main contractor.
  • Experience managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Previous experience on hotel, hospitality, commercial, residential or fit-out projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing and site management.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and site teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction health & safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced construction environment.
