The Work

As Site Manager, you will lead the day-to-day management of construction projects on site, ensuring they are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be a key point of contact for all site activities, driving performance and fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Oversee and coordinate all site operations from project commencement through to completion.
  • Plan and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure efficient delivery of works.
  • Monitor construction programmes, track progress, and take action to keep projects on schedule.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and ensure works are carried out in line with project specifications.
  • Lead and promote best practice in health and safety across the site at all times.
  • Liaise regularly with clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation, including regular progress updates.
  • Drive continuous improvement on site, identifying opportunities to enhance processes and outcomes.

The Person

The ideal candidate is an experienced, hands-on Site Manager with a strong background in main contracting and a proven ability to deliver construction projects successfully.

  • 5+ years' experience as a Site Manager working with a main contractor.
  • Demonstrated track record of managing and delivering residential, commercial, or similar construction projects.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to direct, motivate, and support site teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in dealing with clients, consultants, and colleagues.
  • Robust knowledge of current health and safety regulations and site management best practices.
  • Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on solutions and continuous improvement.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
  • A commitment to professional development, openness to new ways of working, and the ability to adapt to a growing business are all highly valued.
