About Your New Job
As the Senior Property Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role, delivering expert surveying and property management services while cultivating strong client relationships.
- Conduct building inspections, prepare detailed condition surveys, diagnose defects, and compile robust technical reports.
- Lead management and maintenance of commercial developments, ensuring safety, compliance, and a high standard of presentation.
- Advise on service charges, including budget planning and expenditure, maintaining lease compliance and value for stakeholders.
- Provide specialist insights on landlord and tenant matters, covering lease obligations, dilapidations, and repair liabilities.
- Oversee planned maintenance strategies, condition schedules, refurbishment specs, and external contractors.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders (tenants, advisors, managing agents) to resolve issues efficiently and keep all parties updated.
- Ensure all work meets professional, legal, and regulatory standards.
What Skills You Need
- Degree in Building Surveying, Property Management, or a closely related discipline.
- MRICS qualification (or actively working towards it) preferred but not essential.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property or building surveying.
- Deep understanding of commercial leases, service charge frameworks, and key property legislation.
- Proven skills in property management and service charge consultancy.
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a talent for producing clear reports.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office; experience using property management software is a plus.
- Organised self-starter, able to prioritise and manage deadlines independently.
