About Your New Job
- As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality management accounts, bookkeeping, and financial controller services to a varied client portfolio based in Dublin.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and six-monthly financial reports; manage general ledger entries; perform account reconciliations; and lead bookkeeping processes to guarantee compliance and accuracy.
- Oversee tax compliance, payroll setup, income tax returns, and identification of allowable expenses, ensuring payroll and tax systems run smoothly and efficiently.
- Take part in forensic accounting assignments, including financial record audits, fraud investigation, due diligence reviews, and scenario analysis.
- Provide accounting advice and hands-on support to start-ups and fast-growing businesses, helping them set up robust financial processes and controls.
What Skills You Need
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification and proven experience in management accounting, audit, or commercial practice.
- Ability to produce management accounts, financial statements, reconcile accounts, and oversee general ledger activities.
- Proficiency with top accounting software (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience in tax compliance, payroll processing, and income tax return management.
- Strong analytical skills and forensic accounting experience, such as fraud detection, scenario modelling, and due diligence support.
- Expertise in advising start-ups, SMEs, and growing companies on best accounting practices, controls, and systems implementation.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to deliver information clearly to non-finance stakeholders and build strong client relationships.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
- Previous work experience in a small/medium practice or with SMEs is an advantage.
