About Your New Job

***This is an evening shift position from 15:30-00:00 Monday – Thursday and 14:15-20:15 on a Friday

  • As the Senior Equipment Technician, you will be the subject matter expert for equipment, supporting the seamless operation and technical reliability of the manufacturing line.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations for persistent or high-impact equipment failures and drive the implementation of permanent engineering solutions.
  • Primary ownership of downtime data analysis and presentation is yours, identifying trends and action plans to improve line performance.
  • Develop concept design and prototyping of jigs, fixtures, and production tooling, executing and refining preventative maintenance for optimized equipment function.
  • Support the onboarding and ongoing development of technicians, provide technical guidance under pressure, and ensure sufficient, robust processes for critical consumables.
  • Take on improvement and line stability projects with a clear focus on cost reduction and operational excellence.

What Skills You Need

  • Level 6 or trade qualification with relevant Medical Device Manufacturing industry experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience as an equipment technician in a medical device manufacturing or equivalent regulated environment.
  • Proven track record of electrical fault finding (this is the number one must-have), including experience diagnosing faults in mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Hands-on experience with automated equipment maintenance and willingness to lead technical projects and investigations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and drawing packages such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc. is an advantage
  • Technical report writing, communication, and team collaboration skills.
