About the Employer
Our client is an established Irish engineering manufacturer specialising in bespoke HVAC and air handling systems for technically demanding environments. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their in-house electrical and controls capability.
The Role
We are recruiting a Senior Electrical Controls Engineer to join a technically focused team responsible for the design and validation of electrical and control systems for specialist air handling equipment. This is a hands-on, design-led position with involvement from controls development and electrical schematics through to testing, production release and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and test PLC control systems for HVAC and air handling equipment
• Design electrical schematics and wiring layouts
• Specify electrical components including sensors, actuators and drives
• Conduct functional testing and support End-of-Line (EOL) procedures
• Manage electrical BOMs and support release to production
• Collaborate with mechanical teams on full system integration
• Support commissioning and on-site fault finding where required
Candidate Requirements
• Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (or related discipline)
• Strong PLC controls and electrical design experience
• Background in HVAC, air handling or similar equipment manufacturing
• Experience supporting testing, production release and commissioning
