About Your New Job

Responsibilities: As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will undertake a broad spectrum of tasks including conducting property and building inspections, overseeing asset management, ensuring compliance with building services regulations, managing procurement processes, preparing detailed reports and forecasts, and carrying out fire safety and suitability evaluations.

Team Collaboration: You will work in close partnership with various teams across the organization, sit within the Asset Management Team, and report directly to the Building Surveying Lead. Your expertise will be crucial in supporting the delivery and long-term management of rental, social, and affordable housing projects.

Project Management: You will play a key role in the acquisition, design, construction, and management of an extensive residential rental portfolio. This includes ensuring meticulous administration of records and maintaining the Asset Management Database.

 

What Skills You Need

  • Registered or Chartered as a Building Surveyor and possess a relevant qualification in Building Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a comparable role, and have worked in the residential property space (Property Surveying, Real Estate or AHB industries)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, field reporting software and IT systems used within for Surveying and or Construction Management
  • Strong understanding of construction and building surveying across housing, apartments, and residential blocks.
  • Your own car and full driving license, and ability to travel to development sites for inspections and on-site meetings. Safe Pass or MSIC Training is required.
