About Your New Job
- As the Sales Engineer you will independently identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities across European medical device startups.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to deal closure, working closely with two SDRs (Sales Development Representatives) for outbound support and meeting bookings.
- Conduct consultative discovery calls and face-to-face meetings with senior stakeholders such as Heads of R&D, CEOs, and serial entrepreneurs.
- Travel to European markets approximately once per month for two to three days and represent the company at industry events.
- Coordinate with engineering and project management teams to support proposals and maintain a high-level client relationship post-sale, without being responsible for handover delivery.
What Skills You Need
- 3+ years in a new business/hunter sales role with a proven track record of opening new accounts and managing complex sales cycles (medical device, software, engineering, or complex B2B technical sales backgrounds highly valued).
- Ability to understand and communicate engineering concepts; genuine technical mindset—degree in engineering, biomedical science, or related field preferred, but strong technical sales backgrounds will be considered.
- Experience selling across multiple European markets or working with cross-border clients is an advantage.
- High energy, self-driven, entrepreneurial, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated to help build pipeline from the ground up.
- Willing and able to travel monthly within Europe and commit to an office presence in Sligo at least 3 days/week for the first 6 months.
