About Your New Job
- Sales & Business Development
- Grow sales across the full product range: Grolime, Readymix Concrete, Concrete Blocks, All Aggregate Types, Armourstone, Tarmac & Asphalt Products.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with local authorities, civil engineering contractors, road surfacing contractors, builders and developers, agricultural customers, merchants, and distributors.
- Prepare and deliver competitive quotations and tenders.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and meet monthly/quarterly sales targets.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers in councils, engineering firms, contracting companies, and agricultural businesses.
- Provide product advice, technical support, and site visits where required.
- Resolve customer issues promptly to ensure high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Market & Product Knowledge
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction, agricultural, and civil engineering markets in the West of Ireland.
- Understand product specifications, standards, and applications, including TII specifications, EN standards for concrete and blocks, and Department of Agriculture requirements for Grolime.
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
- Operational Coordination
- Work closely with dispatch, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Coordinate with the technical and quality departments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Provide accurate forecasting and sales reporting to management.
What Skills You Need
- Proven sales experience in construction materials, aggregates, concrete, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of civil engineering, road construction, and agricultural lime applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to read drawings, specifications, and tender documents (advantageous).
- Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across Galway and Mayo.
