About Your New Employer
An industry-leading manufacturing company in Co. Offaly is looking to recruit a Refrigeration Engineer to join its engineering team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a hands-on background in refrigeration, air conditioning or heat pump systems who would like to move into a varied technical role with an industry leader.
You will work on refrigeration systems, testing, troubleshooting and new product development. Previous R&D experience is not required, as practical refrigeration experience is what matters most.
About Your New Job
As a Refrigeration Engineer, you will:
Build, modify and test refrigeration and heat pump systems.
Carry out brazing, pipework, pressure testing, evacuation and refrigerant charging.
Diagnose faults and troubleshoot refrigeration systems.
Test compressors, heat exchangers and other refrigeration components.
Identify opportunities to improve system performance and efficiency.
Support the development and testing of new refrigeration products.
Work with natural and low-GWP refrigerants.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams.
What You Need
A qualification or apprenticeship in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Hands-on experience working with refrigeration or heat pump systems.
Experience in fault finding, testing, brazing and refrigerant charging.
A good understanding of refrigeration systems.
F-Gas certification or willingness to obtain the required certification.
An interest in developing your technical skills.
Candidates from refrigeration service, maintenance, installation or manufacturing backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Previous R&D experience is not essential.
