The Work

As a Receptionist, you will play a vital role in managing the Front Desk and representing the organisation to visitors and callers. This is an on-site, temporary position, working Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:30 (40 hours per week).

  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and callers, delivering a professional and friendly welcome.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls, respond to queries, and direct calls to the appropriate team members.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries efficiently.
  • Order and maintain office supplies to ensure the front office runs smoothly.
  • Scan, file, and maintain documents and records to support office organisation.
  • Provide administrative support to the busy Accounts department as required.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be organised, professional, and comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment.

  • Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional telephone manner.
  • Solid administrative and organisational abilities, with attention to detail.
  • Confident using MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or a bespoke system) is an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience working in a global company would be beneficial but is not required.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Comfortable working on site in a front-of-house role and representing the company positively at all times.
