Global Project Manager – Medical Device – Longford
About the Company
Our client is a global medical device and contract manufacturing company with operations across Ireland and the US, currently in a strong growth phase.
The Role
We are hiring a Global Project Manager to support projects across Ireland and US sites. This is a highly customer-facing role, where you will act as the key point of contact for clients while managing projects across their full lifecycle.
You will focus on NPI, project transfers, and validation within an injection moulding environment, working closely with global teams to ensure successful delivery.
Hybrid role (Longford-based) with flexibility for US time zones and occasional travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage project delivery across the full lifecycle (planning through to completion)
- Develop project scope, statements of work, timelines, and resource plans
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party suppliers across multiple sites
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across Ireland and US locations
- Act as the main point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction
- Lead project planning, scheduling, and reporting activities
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks, including maintaining risk registers and escalation
- Manage project dependencies and critical path requirements
- Support NPI and project transfer activities (site-to-site production moves)
- Oversee validation activities including IQ, OQ, and PQ
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Lead meetings with global stakeholders across Ireland and US teams
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
Requirements
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management experience is essential
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 3+ years’ Project Management experience (PMP Certified)
- Background in injection moulding, medical devices, or contract manufacturing, with exposure to NPI, validation, or transfer projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, with strong communication, organisational, and planning skills
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet)
