About Your New Company

Your new organisation is a leading public sector body providing asset and liability management services to the Irish State. Operating across a diverse portfolio, it plays a central role in delivering major national infrastructure and investment programmes.

Within the organisation, a specialised division is responsible for advising State authorities on large-scale capital projects and delivering complex infrastructure through Public Private Partnerships and Exchequer-funded models. With an expanding mandate to support Government infrastructure delivery, this division is at the forefront of shaping Ireland’s future built environment.

About Your New Job

As Project Director, you will lead the initiation, procurement, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure programmes across a variety of sectors. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for managing complex projects, engaging with high-level stakeholders, and ensuring successful programme outcomes.

You will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, guiding teams through all stages of delivery while ensuring alignment on timelines, budgets, risks, and strategic objectives. A key aspect of the role will involve building strong relationships with Government Departments and Agencies, providing expert advice, and ensuring the highest standards in governance, sustainability, and delivery.

What You Will Need

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A third-level honours degree (or higher) in a relevant discipline such as engineering, construction, architecture, project management, or quantity surveying
  • Approximately 15+ years’ experience in the delivery of major infrastructure or construction projects
  • Strong leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex programmes
  • Proven expertise in public procurement, infrastructure delivery frameworks, and capital project governance
  • Experience managing budgets, risk, commercial negotiations, and stakeholder relationships at senior level
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • A strong understanding of sustainability, ESG, and climate considerations in infrastructure projects
  • Professional accreditation or chartership (desirable), along with relevant postgraduate or project management qualifications
