Production Manager- Days
The Role
Our client is a growing manufacturing company currently going through an exciting expansion phase. They are seeking an experienced Production Manager to take ownership of factory floor operations, overseeing the full production lifecycle from machining and assembly through to final dispatch. This is a senior leadership role with a strong focus on efficiency, quality, and people management.
Key Responsibilities of Production Manager
- Manage day-to-day production operations across machining, finishing, assembly, logistics, and dispatch.
- Improve production efficiency and output through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Lead and manage production and logistics teams to ensure delivery, quality, and performance targets are met.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules in line with customer delivery commitments.
- Maintain and enforce quality standards, managing reworks and corrective actions where required.
- Analyse labour versus output to support staffing, overtime, and training decisions.
- Act as the main point of contact for factory floor operations, maintaining high site and safety standards.
Requirements for the Production Manager
- Previous experience as a Production Manager, Factory Manager, or Manufacturing Manager within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong background in continuous improvement, efficiency improvement, and production optimisation.
- Proven people leadership and production planning experience, with the ability to manage teams and schedules effectively.
