About Your New Job
As the Procurement Specialist, you will:
- Collaborate with hospital departments to procure and review all material, consumable, and service requirements.
- Place orders with suppliers, manage purchase orders, and expedite orders to meet customer needs.
- Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly reporting, with key metrics and analysis to identify gaps and solutions.
- Manage suppliers to secure best cost, delivery, and service quality.
- Monitor and control stock levels, minimising excess and obsolete materials, implementing best practices like Kanban and consignment programs.
- Oversee cycle count and annual stock take processes, review and resolve invoice discrepancies, and support warehouse operations as needed.
Hours:
- Monday–Thursday: 8.00am–4.00pm
- Friday: 8.00am–3.30pm
- 37 hours per week
What Skills You Need
- 1+ years’ work experience in a Procurement/Buying/Purchasing environment.
- Diploma/Cert in purchasing or materials management; APICS qualified or working towards it would be advantageous but essential.
- Knowledge of procurement, inventory, and supplier management.
- Excellent multitasking skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle preferred).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills. This job is a very collaborative role and the successful candidate will be working closely with a variety of internal departments and Managers.
- Experience in hospital or medical device manufacturing is an advantage but not essential.
