A global medical device manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Principal Sourcing Specialist to join their Global Sourcing team on a 12-month contract.
Work in Galway with hybrid flexibility, enabling site presence as needed and remote working arrangements.
About Your New Job
- Manage critical supplier escalations and provide expert guidance in commercial negotiations.
- Ensure supply continuity and proactively drive risk mitigation strategies to support business operations.
- Lead cost reduction opportunities, support key procurement projects, and deliver on business objectives.
- Engage routinely with cross-functional stakeholders across the organisation to ensure alignment and success.
- Oversee and manage strategic supplier agreements and supplier spend.
What Skills You Need
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
- Minimum NFQ Level 8 (240 credits) degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic supplier management and complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong expertise in supply continuity, risk management, and handling supplier escalations.
- Proven track record of managing significant supplier spend (>$50M–$100M).
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and clear, effective communication.
- Ability to operate independently at a senior/principal level in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
