Our client is a leading M&E contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services across major residential, commercial and data centre projects in Ireland. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their team.
Your New Role
As Mechanical Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of mechanical services on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme and to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of mechanical services on site.
- Supervising mechanical subcontractors, trades and site personnel.
- Coordinating mechanical works with the wider construction and M&E teams.
- Ensuring installations are completed in line with drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
- Liaising with the Project Manager, engineers, consultants, clients and subcontractors.
- Monitoring progress and reporting on programme and project performance.
- Reviewing drawings and identifying any technical or coordination issues.
- Managing materials, plant and labour requirements.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety requirements and relevant regulations.
- Assisting with testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
- Attending site meetings and providing regular updates to the project team.
What you'll need to succeed
- Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or relevant trade/technical qualification.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor or similar position.
- Strong experience delivering mechanical services on residential, commercial and/or data centre projects.
- Good understanding of mechanical building services and construction processes.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Good understanding of health & safety requirements.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
