About your new company
We are currently working with a well renowned mechanical contractor that are working on a number of residential and commercial projects in Dublin . The company have a turnover in excess of €45million and take pride in looking after and developing their staff. They have a busy orderbook for the next two years with over €75 Million euro in projects confirmed. They are adding to their site management teams and are looking for an Mechanical Estimator.
Your new role
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a key role in the tendering and pre-construction process, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical services, including heating, plumbing, and ventilation systems. You will be responsible for quantifying materials, plant, and labour requirements, reviewing drawings and specifications, and ensuring all supply chain enquiries are managed effectively.
You will also assist with supplier and subcontractor procurement, evaluating quotations, negotiating competitive rates, and supporting the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and tender submissions. Working closely with the design and project teams, you will help develop practical and cost-effective design solutions, while identifying opportunities for value engineering and maintaining accurate commercial and project documentation.
What you need
You will have experience working in an estimating, quality surveying or technical sales role. You will need a knowledge of mechanical systems that included ventilation, air-conditioning or plumbing. You will come from an engineering or trade background and will need to have experience in pricing projects.
What's on offer
The successful candidate will be paid a salary of €45,000 - €55,000 along with benefits. The role will have a clear defined structure and you will get excellent support from the estimation manager.
