Your New Role

As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems across a range of projects from concept through to completion.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting senior engineers while taking ownership of key elements of project delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for a variety of building types
  • Producing detailed calculations, reports, specifications and drawings
  • Supporting project delivery from concept design through to construction stage
  • Coordinating with electrical engineers, architects and other design team members
  • Attending design team and client meetings
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations and sustainability targets
  • Supporting site inspections, commissioning and project handover activities
  • Using industry-standard software such as IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD and Revit

What You'll Need

  • Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • 3–6 years’ experience in a building services consultancy environment
  • Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and building systems
  • Experience working across multiple project stages
  • Familiarity with Irish / UK building regulations and standards
  • Proficiency in relevant design software (IES, Hevacomp, Revit, AutoCAD) - IES and Revit are highly preferential
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
