Your New Role
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved in the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems across a range of projects from concept through to completion.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting senior engineers while taking ownership of key elements of project delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the design of HVAC and mechanical systems for a variety of building types
- Producing detailed calculations, reports, specifications and drawings
- Supporting project delivery from concept design through to construction stage
- Coordinating with electrical engineers, architects and other design team members
- Attending design team and client meetings
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant regulations and sustainability targets
- Supporting site inspections, commissioning and project handover activities
- Using industry-standard software such as IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD and Revit
What You'll Need
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- 3–6 years’ experience in a building services consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and building systems
- Experience working across multiple project stages
- Familiarity with Irish / UK building regulations and standards
- Proficiency in relevant design software (IES, Hevacomp, Revit, AutoCAD) - IES and Revit are highly preferential
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Working towards Chartered Engineer status (desirable)
