About Your New Job
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will:
- Design distribution transformers in line with customer specifications, expanding our range and capabilities.
- Prepare specifications, drawings, and technical details for customers and ensure designs meet internal standards.
- Coordinate prototype manufacturing and work closely with R&D to drive ongoing improvements.
- Prepare factory floor instructions and ensure implementation of best practices in manufacturing.
- Liaise with production teams to guarantee technical specifications are achieved and maintained.
What Skills You Need
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to use design packages such as CREO or Solidworks
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of best practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with internal standards, quality metrics; SAP experience is a plus.
- Clean driving license preferred and willingness to travel for business.
- Strong analytical, organisational, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
