About Your New Job
As a Maintenance Technician you will support the day-to-day running of the site by carrying out preventative and follow-up maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out timely preventative and follow-up maintenance to help maintain line efficiency targets.
- Following up on external maintenance schedules and ensuring outstanding work is progressed.
- Supporting daily maintenance activities across a busy FMCG environment.
- Assisting with mechanical, fabrication and hydraulic-related work.
- Helping to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
- Supporting project work and driving assigned projects through to completion within agreed timelines.
- Completing all relevant maintenance paperwork to the required standard.
- Assisting with basic effluent treatment system-related activities where required.
This is a practical role suited to someone who is reliable, willing to learn and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
What Skills You Need
- Previous industrial experience, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG or a similar environment.
- Experience working with hydraulic systems.
- Mechanical maintenance experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Some experience supporting or delivering project work.
- Basic knowledge of effluent treatment systems would be beneficial.
- A proactive and dependable approach, with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to learn and develop your technical skills.
- Ability to work to agreed deadlines and drive projects forward.
- Own transport arrangements are essential due to the location of the role.
