About Your New Job

As the Maintenance Technician, reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will help ensure the reliability, performance and safety of production and facility equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC power systems, PLCs, motor and servo drive systems, pneumatic equipment and compressed air systems.
  • Interpreting technical drawings and schematics to diagnose equipment faults efficiently.
  • Performing internal equipment calibrations and maintaining accurate maintenance and calibration records.
  • Supporting the installation, commissioning, calibration and validation of new and existing equipment, including IQ/OQ/PQ activities.
  • Applying Lean Manufacturing principles and contributing to continuous improvement activities.
  • Communicating equipment issues effectively during shift handovers, particularly those affecting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and complying with all company safety procedures.

What Skills You Need

  • An NFQ Level 6 qualification, or a recognised trade qualification, in Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical or a related Engineering discipline.
  • At least three years’ experience in an industrial or manufacturing maintenance environment.
  • Practical knowledge of PLCs, motor drives and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, with hands-on experience troubleshooting industrial machinery.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
