About Your New Job as a Maintenance Manager

As the Maintenance Manager, you will:

  • Lead the engineering function, including engineers, technicians, and external contractors, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Oversee preventative and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize production downtime and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Manage maintenance systems, including job lists, preventative maintenance plans, GMP concerns, and internal/external audit actions.
  • Deliver plant improvement and capital projects aligned with business priorities and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, food hygiene, environmental, and customer audit requirements.
  • Drive OEE improvement, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to advance plant performance and support strategic goals.

What Skills You Need

  • Relevant third-level qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong maintenance management/engineering experience.
  • Proven experience managing people, contractors, maintenance systems, and engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing engineering, plant maintenance, and equipment reliability.
  • Understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance systems, GMP requirements, audit processes, and compliance standards.
  • Awareness of health and safety, environmental, food hygiene, and audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability in CapEx justification, ROI analysis, and budget control.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, prioritization, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to drive accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering function.
