Junior Health & Safety Officer

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, you will support the company in maintaining and improving Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards across both sites.

About Your New Job

As the Health & Safety Officer, you will:

  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and Health & Safety inductions across two Dublin locations.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and industry best practice.
  • Manage H&S documentation, training records, permits, certifications and PPE requirements.
  • Review and assist with RAMS, SPAs and Toolbox Talks.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance, documentation and site standards.
  • Investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying opportunities for corrective action.
  • Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support to site management and employees.
  • Assist with the maintenance of Safe-T-Cert, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture and support continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a hands-on role where you will work independently while collaborating closely with site teams, subcontractors and the HSEQ Manager.

What Skills You Need

  • A relevant Health & Safety qualification or degree.
  • At least one year’s experience in a similar Health & Safety role within the construction sector.
  • Good knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Current Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification.
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong communication skills, with excellent written and spoken English.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Salary of €40,000 per year, plus a €180 weekly travel allowance.

Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–3:30pm
Friday: 7:00am–2:30pm
