Job Title: Inventory Stores Operative

Department: Engineering Stores

Reports to: Engineering Stores Manager

Type of Contract: Permanent

Working hours: 39 hour week, 8.15am to 5pm Monday to Thursday. 8.15am to 4pm on Fridays.

Salary: 30k plus benefits, this salary may increase increase slightly, but this will depend an applicant's level of relevant stores experience.

Location: Westport

This Stores Operative is part of the Engineering Stores team, they are responsible for efficiently managing inventory of small engineering parts, spares and consumables.

The role also involves filing of all relevant documentation including POD’s Delivery dockets and relevant certifications.

This is an Engineering stores role and not a warehouse role, this department stores small engineering parts used to fix production lines and protective equipment. There is no requirement for a forklift license. 

The Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Receive all deliveries on the ERP system. Receive all deliveries to site and advise relevant parties of the deliveries, distribute all deliveries to areas on site.

Find and Issue all material requests to maintenance work orders.

Be available to assist with locating materials.

Maintain logbooks for various activities in the store area (key issue, high value item issues etc.)

Regular cycle counting and feedback to Engineering Stores manager.

Ensure Engineering Stores housekeeping and safety is always to audit readiness.

Complete a monthly stock check of cabinets.

Process and pack any returns materials to suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Experience of working in a fast paced Store.

Previous training or use of Manual handling equipment

Experience of working with Microsoft Word and Excel is essential

Knowledge of ERP systems is desirable

ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Good communication skills, you will be dealing with colleagues and other internal departments on a daily basis
Good knowledge of ERP systems/and/or the ability to work comfortably with systems and databases
Ability to work with detailed information in a structured fashion
Excellent communication and numeracy skills
Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction
Understanding of Health & Safety issues
