Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their expanding Building Services team.

About Your New Job

As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems across a variety of high-profile projects. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you will support project delivery from concept design through to construction and commissioning

You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior engineers, project managers, architects, and clients while developing your technical expertise and progressing your career within a leading consultancy environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the design and specification of HVAC, public health, and other mechanical building services systems
  • Producing engineering calculations, technical reports, and design documentation
  • Developing drawings and models using industry-standard software, including Revit and BIM tools
  • Coordinating mechanical services designs with multidisciplinary project teams
  • Attending design team meetings and liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Supporting project delivery through all project stages, from concept and detailed design to construction and handover
  • Ensuring designs comply with relevant building regulations, industry standards, and sustainability requirements
  • Assisting with site inspections, commissioning activities, and technical troubleshooting when require

What Skills & Requirements You Need

  • Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
  • 3–6 years' experience within a building services consultancy environment
  • Experience working on commercial, residential, or data centre projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building services design, including HVAC and public health systems
  • Proficiency in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and relevant engineering calculation packages
  • Familiarity with BIM processes and multidisciplinary project coordination
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Ambition to continue professional development and work towards chartership if not already achieved
