Job Title: Complaints Officer

Location: This job opportunity is based in Galway City with generous hybrid working on offer (3 days from home, 2 days in the office).

  • You will be joining a small team of experienced Complaints Officers and there will be a lot of support and training for the successful applicant. Prior experience with dealing with Claims complaints is essential.

About Your New Job

  • As a Complaints Officer, you will independently manage and resolve both straightforward and complex customer complaints within a small close-knit Insurance Complaints Team.
  • You will investigate escalated issues by thoroughly reviewing call recordings, provider records, and internal case notes.
  • You will evaluate disputes, communicate decisions with empathy, and maintain accurate complaint records.
  • You will implement corrective actions, conduct root cause  analyses, and make recommendations for future process improvements and training.
  • You will work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders.

What Skills You Need for this Job

  • An up to date APA or CIP Insurance accreditation is essential. If you are returning to work or returning to Ireland from abroad and your Irish APA/CIP qualification has lapsed, we may be able to consider your application. 
  • Experience delivering exceptional customer experiences in a regulated environment. This could be in either Insurance or in other areas of Finance.
  • Good written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complaints confidently and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
