About The Company
Our client is seeking an experienced HR professional for the below role.
This organisation are based in East Galway and are preparing for important regulatory changes in Pay Transparency. This project is an opportunity to enhance people practices and governance. You will be contributing to work with real national impact, partnering with committed HR colleagues, and gaining exposure to strategic HR initiatives.
Prior experience with Pay Transparency Legislation is not essential however experience of either working on a Legislative project, or building out a Framework for a HR function is essential.
There will be plenty of resources available for this person to learn more about Pay Transparency Legislation.
Location: Oranmore, Co. Galway
Contract: 6-month temporary role (September 2026 – February 2027)
Working pattern: Hybrid working and open to full-time and part-time candidates, if part time, this contract may run longer than the 6 months
Salary: €60,000–€65,000 per annum, this cannot be negotiated
The Work
You will play a key role in ensuring the organisation is ready for the EU Pay Transparency Directive. You will lead and support the development of a practical and robust framework that aligns HR structures, policies and processes with new regulatory requirements while promoting fairness and transparency.
- Design and support a comprehensive framework for compliance with the EU Pay Transparency Directive.
- Review and refine existing grading structures to ensure consistency, clarity and equity.
- Assess and update HR policies and governance arrangements related to pay and reward.
- Identify and evaluate risks associated with pay transparency and propose mitigation actions.
- Engage with key internal stakeholders, including senior leaders, to build understanding and buy-in.
- Prepare clear supporting documentation, guidance and tools to embed compliant practices.
- Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and monitor the effectiveness of proposed changes.
The Person
The ideal candidate is an experienced HR or Business professional with the ability to influence, communicate clearly and work confidently with senior stakeholders. You are comfortable leading complex projects, managing sensitive information and translating regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
- Relevant third-level qualification in HR, Employment Law, Business, Organisational Development or a related discipline.
- Experience across one or more of the following: HR, reward, organisational development, workforce planning, job evaluation, equality, governance and/or employment policy.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and support evidence-based recommendations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
- Advanced IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
- High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders, providing clear advice and influencing outcomes.
