HR Generalist / Senior HR Administrator (Manufacturing)

Location: Castlepollard, Co. Westmeath

The Role

This is a highly operational HR role providing end-to-end HR support to managers and employees while ensuring full compliance with Irish employment legislation and best practice standards. The successful candidate will act as a culture ambassador, supporting engagement, inclusion and high performance across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver full lifecycle HR support from recruitment, onboarding and contracts through to performance management and off-boarding.

  2. Implement, maintain and advise on HR policies and procedures in line with Irish employment law and company standards.

  3. Provide hands-on support to managers on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and performance issues.

  4. Manage and maintain HR systems (BambooHR), employee records, organisational structures and master data.

  5. Oversee absence management, leave entitlements and payroll inputs to ensure accuracy and compliance.

  6. Track, analyse and report HR metrics including headcount, turnover, absence and Working Time Directive compliance.

  7. Support employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives in partnership with site leadership and the HR Manager.

HR Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in HR, Business or related discipline with minimum 3 years’ experience in a hands-on HR role within manufacturing or a similar operational environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Irish employment legislation and proven experience supporting employee relations cases.

  • High level of IT proficiency, including HRIS systems (BambooHR advantageous) and MS Office, with strong attention to detail.

  • Must live within a 30–40 minute commute of Castlepollard and have full right to work in Ireland (no sponsorship available).
