HR Generalist

Co Clare - on-site for the first 6 months and then hybrid working thereafter.

Salary - 35-45k depending on level of experience.

Hours - 8.30am to 5pm and until 4pm on a Friday.

This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months (with potential to become permanent) and candidates will benefit from company benefits also (including Healthcare for you and dependents, pension, canteen and on-site gym).

About Your New Job:

  • You will handle all aspects of employee relations, serving as the primary point of contact for staff queries and requests.
  • Oversee the full recruitment and selection lifecycle, ensuring a seamless process from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Manage employee benefits, including pensions, medical insurance, and safety wear provisioning.
  • Prepare monthly HR reports for key departments and assist in developing and refining onboarding procedures, including the ZUP process.
  • Coordinate the integration of new hires, ensuring systems are set up and arrivals are efficiently managed.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of company policies and the employee handbook.
  • Maintain up-to-date personnel files and training records, and manage onboarding and relocation for international staff, including visa processes.
  • Advise and support management on HR-related matters, manage working time and absence records, and assist with employee appraisals and payroll preparation.
  • Act as the HR representative on the communications team and participate in ad hoc HR projects as required.


What Skills You Need

  • Degree in business or a related field, ideally specializing in human resources.
  • At least 2-3+ years of HR experience; CIPD qualification is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with time and attendance systems is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of current Irish employment legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Problem-solving ability and creativity in finding solutions.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and a friendly, approachable attitude.
  • Flexible, with strong multitasking and organisational skills.
