About Your New Job

Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Manager, you will help ensure that health and safety standards are maintained across construction activities and project sites.

• Regularly review and update company risk assessments, safe operating procedures and safety statements.
• Deliver safety induction training for new employees and subcontractors, while maintaining accurate documentary records.
• Investigate, record and report accidents, incidents and near-misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Identify ongoing and new safety training requirements, ensuring mandatory training is reviewed and delivered on time.
• Ensure all relevant employees have access to and correctly use the required personal protective equipment.
• Review subcontractors’ safety statements and safety compliance.
• Attend regular health and safety meetings and enforce Health and Safety Department policies.
• Provide relevant accident information for insurance purposes.

What Skills You Need

• A relevant third-level qualification in Health and Safety.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar Health and Safety Advisor position.
• Experience working with relevant HSQE standards and management systems.
• Proven ability to complete safety inspections and prepare detailed risk assessments.
• Strong knowledge of construction health and safety practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational and investigative skills.
