Financial Accountant- 6 month FTC- 1 day per week onsite

About the Role
Our client, a well-established organisation, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team on a 6-month fixed term contract reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

This role will support financial reporting, business partnering and financial analysis while ensuring strong financial controls and compliance across the organisation.

The position offers hybrid working with one day per week onsite. The successful candidate will also benefit from a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentary

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain integrity of financial data

  • Support month-end and year-end close processes

  • Assist with statutory accounts preparation and audit requirements

  • Partner with department heads to review performance and identify cost control opportunities

  • Analyse margins, pricing and profitability across product or service lines

  • Deliver KPI reporting and performance dashboards

  • Monitor working capital performance including cash flow and debtors

  • Provide ad hoc financial modelling and analysis

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies

  • Support internal and external audit processes

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes

Key Requirements

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)

  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a financial accounting or similar finance role

  • Industry experience preferred

  • Strong Excel and analytical skills with experience using ERP systems
