About Your New Job
- As the Facilities Electrician, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, production infrastructure, and utility equipment across the facility.
- You will ensure building systems, cleanroom environments, and plant utilities run safely and efficiently, fully aligned with strict quality and safety standards for medical device manufacturing.
- You will execute preventative and reactive maintenance on all facility electrical infrastructure, including lighting, emergency systems, HVAC controls, and distribution boards.
- You will diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults on both plant utilities and building management systems (BMS), minimizing facility downtime.
- You will install, wire, test, and commission new electrical hardware and equipment upgrades, ensuring all work complies with statutory wiring regulations.
- You will accurately document maintenance activities and provide support during both internal and external audits.
- You will work closely with external contractors on-site projects, ensuring safety practices are adhered to and supporting energy-efficiency initiatives.
What Skills You Need
- Fully qualified, time-served Electrician with a recognized national trade certificate (e.g., National Craft Certificate, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ post-qualification experience as an electrician in a regulated manufacturing environment (Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, or high-volume electronics preferred).
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial/industrial electrical systems, including single & 3-phase distribution, motor controls, VSDs, and basic PLC logic.
- Previous hands-on experience with plant utilities such as industrial HVAC, air compressors, chilled water systems, and BMS.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous documentation skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a technical team.
