RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver preventative maintenance programmes that protect plant uptime and production continuity.
- Drive electrical efficiency KPIs across the site, converting technical performance into commercial results.
- Lead root cause analysis on breakdowns, turning reactive fixes into lasting reliability gains.
- Identify risks and opportunities across the electrical infrastructure ahead of failure points.
- Influence production, NPD, and trial outcomes by ensuring electrical systems support cross-functional priorities.
- Execute equipment modifications that improve throughput, safety, and operational efficiency.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives that raise plant performance standards over time.
- Uphold rigorous safety and regulatory compliance across all electrical maintenance activity.
- Contribute engineering budget discipline, balancing cost control against maintenance quality.
- Mentor and upskill engineering and maintenance colleagues, strengthening team-wide technical capability.
- Partner with cross-functional project teams to deliver site-wide engineering initiatives.
- Represent the electrical function's interests within the wider engineering and production strategy.
REQUIREMENTS
- Recognised trade qualification in electrical engineering (qualifications obtained outside Ireland require recognition from an appropriate Irish trade body).
- Demonstrated maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial machinery and production-line electrical systems.
- Proven capability delivering preventative maintenance programmes within a structured maintenance framework.
- Hands-on experience diagnosing and resolving faults on manufacturing equipment.
- Solid understanding of production processes and how electrical reliability supports them.
- Ability to identify potential problems proactively and implement timely, effective solutions.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills across electrical and control systems.
- Sound knowledge of health, safety, and regulatory standards applicable to industrial electrical work.
