Our client is a leading Data Centre Construction company delivering turnkey solutions to clients across Europe, with headquarters in Dublin. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the most trusted and well-established companies within the sector.
The company is currently delivering multiple large-scale turnkey data centre projects across Europe, representing over 500 MW of IT load in delivery. Due to continued project growth, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Lead to join their team, with the role based on-site in Helsinki, Finland.
About Your New Job
As Electrical Engineer (Data Centres), you will support the design, coordination, and delivery of electrical systems across large-scale data centre construction projects. This role will involve working closely with subcontractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure electrical works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements.
Working closely with the project team and site management, you will review drawings and technical documentation, coordinate electrical activities on site, and ensure that all subcontractors and site personnel have the necessary information to complete their work successfully. You will also support troubleshooting activities, oversee documentation processes, and assist in preparing handover and test packs for system commissioning.
You will monitor site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health and safety regulations, while contributing to maintaining high standards of site organisation and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
What Skills You Need
As the Electrical Engineer you will:
- Ensure all works are executed in full compliance
- Review, coordinate, and manage project drawings as required.
- Provide technical guidance and support to subcontractors across all project stages.
- Plan, prioritise, and allocate tasks within the technical team to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with site, project, and health & safety requirements.
- Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Oversee document control processes, ensuring all logs are accurate and up to date.
- Prepare handover and test packs for system commissioning.
What You Need to Have
- Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer on large-scale projects, ideally data centres, pharmaceutical, or industrial.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and design & build environments.
