Our client is a leading Data Centre Construction company delivering turnkey solutions to clients across Europe, with headquarters in Dublin. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the most trusted and well-established companies within the sector.
The company is currently delivering multiple large-scale turnkey data centre projects across Europe, representing over 500 MW of IT load in delivery. Due to continued project growth, they are seeking to appoint an experienced Electrical Lead to join their team, with the role based on-site in Helsinki, Finland.
About Your New Job
As Electrical Construction Manager (Data Centres), you will take responsibility for managing and coordinating electrical construction activities across large-scale data centre projects. You will work closely with the Project Team to ensure electrical works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety standards.
Working alongside Project Management and Package Managers, you will oversee subcontractor activities, manage labour resources, and ensure that all electrical installations are completed in accordance with project specifications. You will coordinate site quality assurance processes, monitor construction progress, and ensure all materials and plant delivered to site meet required specifications.
You will also support project close-out activities including O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, QA documentation, and material handovers, ensuring that all documentation and deliverables are completed to the highest standards. Throughout the project lifecycle, you will promote strong governance and compliance, ensuring that health and safety requirements are fully implemented and maintained across all site activities.
What Skills You Need
As the Electrical Construction Manager you will:
- Manage site Quality Assurance in coordination with the QA Manager, ensuring all works meet the highest standards.
- Oversee the project schedule with the Project Team and prepare two-week look-aheads for upcoming works.
- Ensure labour resources are planned and maintained in line with project requirements.
- Supervise subcontractor activities, monitoring progress against schedules and manpower trackers.
- Identify and report all variations and delays to Project Management.
- Verify that all plant and materials delivered are in line with specifications and safely stored onsite.
- Support project close-out, including O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, QA files, and material handovers, in collaboration with the Site Project Manager.
- Manage change control effectively, ensuring cost and programme impacts are captured and addressed.
What You Need to Have
- Relevant Electrical Qualification essential eg. City & Guilds Certificate, HNC/BTEC or NVQ
- 5+ years of previous experience in a similar role, electrical construction, preferably within large-scale projects such as data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical facilities.
- Strong knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems, QA, and safety compliance.
