This is a contract role based in Galway.
About Your New Job
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of environmental performance data on a monthly and annual basis, ensuring alignment with internal standards and applicable regulatory and certification requirements.
- Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impact across areas such as emissions, energy use, waste, water consumption, and process-related outputs, in line with long-term sustainability objectives.
- Develop, implement, and monitor programs aimed at reducing workplace incidents and supporting best-in-class health and safety performance.
- Apply appropriate tools and methodologies to identify, assess, and mitigate ergonomic and operational risks, supporting safe and efficient systems of work.
- Provide technical support for operational processes, including surface treatment and effluent management activities, ensuring compliance and environmental protection.
What Skills You Need
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Health & Safety; post-graduate qualification is desirable.
- 2-3 years in a world-class manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficiency in statistical and graphical tools such as Pareto analysis and A3s.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, supervisors, and managers.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated learner, and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in EH&S management and execution, with a focus on achieving results and leading key projects.
