Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist (EHS Specialist)

***12 Month Fixed Term Contract

About Your New Job

  • Manage and report all environmental metrics monthly and complete environmental reports annually.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations, including ISO (14001, 45001, 50001), EPA, and IED requirements.
  • Develop and sustain EHS programs to minimize losses due to injuries, improve housekeeping, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, energy, and water usage.
  • Provide environmental support for the manufacturing of current and new products to world-class standards.
  • Support standard work related to chemical processes, with a focus on electric coating and wastewater treatment processes.
  • Develop, implement, and support health and safety programs to reduce Lost Time Injury Rate (LTIR) and Total Incident Rate (TRIR).
  • Manage the site’s Connect & Engage and ABC programs, ensuring all audits and corrective actions are completed on schedule.

What Skills You Need

  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or Health & Safety.
  • 1+ year of experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present information and respond to questions effectively.
  • Proven track record in EHS management and execution, with a strong focus on achieving results and leading key projects.
  • Competence in ergonomics, including the ability to identify ergonomic issues and develop practical solutions.
